POST-IT NOTES

Some years ago, Art Fry dealt with a small irritation every Sunday as
he sang in the church choir. After marking his pages in the hymnal
with small bits of paper, the small pieces would invariably fall
out all over the floor.

Suddenly, Art remembered an adhesive developed by a colleague
that everyone thought was a failure because it did not stick very well.

He coated the adhesive on a paper sample and found that it was not
only a good bookmark, but it was also great for writing notes.
It will stay in place as long as he wanted it to, and then he
can remove it without damage.

The resulting product was called Post-it, which has become one of 3M's
most successful office products.

"Every successful man I have heard of has done the best he could with conditions as he found them."
- Edgar Watson Howe.

"Don't forget that you can always turn things around by how you react to them." - Andres Lara.
